  • Passive fire protection

It does not matter if you are onshore or offshore, passive fire protection is an essential part of any project. We specialize in two variations; cementitious - and intumescent fire protection.

Prioritize passive fire protection

Passive fire protection is a way to save lives if an emergency occurs because emergency exits, utility shafts, stairways and roof structures remain accessible to some extent for emergency teams and firefighters to use.

When exposed to fire, most materials lose their structural strength. Passive fireproofing coatings ensure that statically loaded structures do not lose their strength if exposed to high temperatures. We offer state-of-the-art technologies and tools, along with our reliable workforce to professional project managers and certified coating inspectors to make sure your project meets the highest standards. We can assist you with two variations of passive fire protection; cementitious - and intumescent fire protection.

Services

  • Cementitious fire protection

When cementitious coatings are exposed to heat, the water retained in the cement evaporates to constrain the fire and absorb some of the heat. Cementitious fire protection is mainly used for non-visible applications.

  • Intumescent fire protection

When exposed to heat or fire, intumescent fire protection turns into a viscous liquid film and expands to form an insulating foam layer that absorbs some of the heat. This coating technique is typically used for applications where esthetics plays a significant role.
